In 2010, he and his company, Gurkha Encounters, was awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) for his services and contribution
in the UN supported discharge process of Maoist army personnel disqualified from joining the Nepal Army during the UN verification process.
